- Firmware updates and technical support continue for SP-1X4SL18G units in service.
- The SP-1X4SL18G downscales 4K to 1080p per output, so 4K and 1080p displays can run from it at the same time.
- SP-1X4SL18G EDID: front-panel DIP switches 1-3 select one of 8 EDID settings (000 = EDID from the first detected display, output 1 first; 001 = output 4 first; the rest are fixed 1080p and 4K presets). Switch 4 sets the HDCP mode: OFF (default) = Passive, which follows the display's HDCP version; ON
- The replacement SP-HDMI1X4-18G does not scale (downscale) at all: all four outputs get the same signal. The SP-1X4SL18G scaled each output. For a mix of 4K and 1080p displays on a 1x4 splitter, use the SP-HD1X48K, which downscales each output independently. The SP-HDMI1X4A-18G has only a global 4K-t
- The replacement SP-HDMI1X4-18G has 2 EDID presets (STD and TV) instead of the SP-1X4SL18G's 8. An HDCP Active/Passive switch is not specified for the SP-HDMI1X4-18G.
