1080p HDMI Extender over CAT6 up to 196ft (60m)
KanexPro EXT-HD60M 1080p HDMI extender over CAT6 up to 196ft (60m). HDCP 1.4, IR pass-through, local HDMI loop-out, Deep Color 48-bit.
Extend HDMI video and audio up to 196 feet (60 meters) over a single CAT6 cable with full IR control and a local HDMI preview output on the transmitter. The KanexPro EXT-HD60M carries 1080p/60Hz signals with HDCP 1.4 compliance and EDID management. Auto-adjustment, buffering, and signal equalization maintain pixel-perfect resolution across the full distance. Supports resolutions from 480i to 1080p@60Hz with 16-bit per channel (48-bit) Deep Color. Built-in IR pass-through (20–60KHz) enables remote control of the source from the display location. The transmitter includes a local HDMI output for monitoring or preview. Compact metal enclosures with built-in mounting kits. Powered by DC 5V/1A (TX <3W, RX <2W). Requires CAT6/6a/7 cable — will not work with CAT5/5e.

Questions
- Maximum resolution?
- 1080p@60Hz (1920x1080). Supports 480i through 1080p.
- Maximum distance?
- 60 meters (196 feet) at 1080p over CAT6/6a/7.
- What is the HDMI loop-out on the transmitter?
- A local HDMI output on the TX for preview or monitoring on a nearby display, independent of the remote output.
- How does IR pass-through work?
- An IR receiver at the RX captures remote control signals and passes them to the TX via CAT6, allowing source control from the display location. Supports 20-60KHz.
- No image or abnormal display.
- 1) Press RX RESET button. 2) Try shorter CAT6 cable. 3) Verify IEEE-568B termination on both ends.
- RX LINK LED flashing.
- 1) Verify CAT6 cable follows IEEE-568B. 2) Check TX has HDMI signal input. 3) Reset both TX and RX.
- Can I use CAT5 or CAT5e?
- No. Requires CAT6/6a/7 only. CAT5/5e will not work.
- Does it support 4K?
- No. Maximum 1080p@60Hz. For 4K extension, see KanexPro 4K extender products.
- What cable termination standard?
- IEEE-568B on both ends. Shielded CAT6 with shielded RJ45 connectors strongly recommended.
- LINK LED solid but no image.
- 1) Press RX RESET. 2) Verify HDMI cable to display. 3) Ensure cable is solid copper core (not CCA).
