4K@30Hz 1×2 HDMI Splitter with EDID Selector
KanexPro SP-HD1X24K 1x2 HDMI splitter sends one source to two displays at up to 4K@30Hz. EDID Copy/Auto modes, HDCP, CEC pass-through, USB powered.
Duplicate one HDMI source to two displays without losing signal integrity or resolution. The KanexPro SP-HD1X24K is a 1×2 HDMI splitter (distribution amplifier) that sends a single HDMI input to two simultaneous outputs at up to 4K@30Hz. Both displays show the same picture. Its EDID selector (Copy/Auto modes) ensures reliable resolution negotiation. HDCP and CEC compliant, backward compatible with 1080p/720p devices. Supports Ultra HD 4K×2K@30Hz, full HD 1080p@60Hz, WUXGA 1920×1200, and all 3D formats. It is an HDMI 1.4 device with 2.97 Gbps video bandwidth, so 4K@30Hz is the maximum resolution; it does not pass 4K@60Hz. 12-bit per channel (36-bit) Deep Color. Audio pass-through includes 5.1 and 7.1 digital audio plus uncompressed LPCM. Compact metal enclosure powered by USB 5V, with a 5V USB to DC power supply included. Plug and play — no driver installation required.

Questions
- Does this support HDR or Dolby Vision?
- No. It is an HDMI 1.4 splitter (2.97 Gbps), so it does not pass HDR or Dolby Vision. For HDR and Dolby Vision, use the SP-HD1X44K.
- Does CEC pass-through work?
- CEC passes through from the input to HDMI Output 1 only. Output 2 has no CEC, so a display on Output 2 will not receive CEC commands such as power on/off from the source. Use Output 1 for the display you want to control.
- Does it need a power supply?
- Yes. Included USB to DC 5V cable. Maximum consumption is 5W.
- What is the maximum resolution?
- 4K×2K@30Hz. For 4K@60Hz, use the SP-HD1X44K.
- What does the EDID selector do?
- Copy mode copies OUT 2 EDID to the input port. Auto mode compares both output EDIDs to negotiate the best common resolution.
- No signal on one or both displays.
- 1) Verify HDMI cables. 2) Switch EDID mode. 3) Power-cycle. 4) Check source resolution compatibility.
- Only one output working.
- Check HDMI cable on inactive output. Try swapping outputs. Verify display is powered on.
- Can outputs show different resolutions?
- No. Both outputs mirror the same resolution (lowest common denominator).
- Is this HDCP 2.2 compliant?
- No. HDCP 1.x only. Content requiring HDCP 2.2 may not pass through.
- What audio formats are supported?
- 5.1 and 7.1 digital audio plus uncompressed LPCM via HDMI pass-through.
