H.265 AV over IP System Controller — 100M
KanexPro AVO-IPCTL-265HD 100M H.265 AV over IP system controller — matrix switching, video wall, dual 100M network isolation, web GUI, GPIO control…
Delivers cost-effective centralized management of H.264/H.265 AV over IP systems over 100M networks — with drag-and-drop matrix switching, video wall configuration, and dual-network isolation from a browser-based web GUI. The AVO-IPCTL-265HD connects to the same 100M managed switch as H.265 encoders and decoders, auto-discovers all endpoints, and provides full system control of video routing, audio, RS-232, KVM, and GPIO automation. Where the AVO-IPCTL-265 adds 1G bandwidth, window roaming, seamless switching, and mouse collaboration, the AVO-IPCTL-265HD delivers the core matrix and video wall management functionality at a lower price point — the right choice for straightforward H.265 deployments without advanced video wall or collaborative workflow requirements. Dual 100M network ports isolate AV multicast traffic from the IT control network, with HTTPS and SSH security. Compatible with AVO-IP265-4K, AVO-IP265-HD, and AVO-IP265-HDK H.265 AV over IP encoders and decoders.

Questions
- What is the MCU/Normal DIP switch?
- Normal mode (default): RS-232 for serial control commands. MCU mode: RS-232 for firmware upgrade. Keep in Normal during standard operation.
- What Video LAN IP modes are supported?
- Auto (controller assigns IPs, recommended), DHCP (router assigns IPs), or Static (manual). Video LAN subnet must differ from Control LAN subnet in Static mode.
- How do I access the web GUI?
- Navigate to http://controller.local or 192.168.6.100 (no DHCP). Default login: admin/admin. Set a new 6–8 alphanumeric character password on first login.
- Can I use a single network switch?
- Yes — connect all endpoints and VIDEO LAN to one switch, CONTROL LAN to PC. AV/IT isolation is not maintained in this mode.
- Encoders/decoders not discovered?
- Verify VIDEO LAN is connected to same switch as all endpoints. Confirm IGMP Snooping is enabled. Use Search Device Via Wizard to re-scan.
- RS-232 commands not working?
- Verify MCU/Normal DIP switch is set to Normal. In MCU mode, RS-232 is reserved for firmware upgrade only. Also verify RS-232 settings match the target device.
- How does AVO-IPCTL-265HD differ from AVO-IPCTL-265?
- The AVO-IPCTL-265HD is a 100M entry-level controller with basic matrix switching and video wall. The AVO-IPCTL-265 is a 1G advanced controller adding window roaming, seamless switching, mouse collaboration, IP camera import, marquee display, 2×RS-232, and IR OUT. Choose -265HD for straightforward H.
- Is the AVO-IPCTL-265HD required for basic H.265 operation?
- No — point-to-point unicast works without it. The controller is required for matrix switching, video wall configuration, and centralized system management.
- What if the switch does not support PoE?
- Power the encoder, decoder, and controller via included DC adapters. Controller accepts DC 12V/1A.
- How do I reset to factory defaults?
- Hold RESET button approximately 10 seconds until STATUS LED flashes. Release — controller resets and reboots automatically. All device lists, presets, and accounts will be cleared.
