Getting Started: Flex Matrix Overview

What is the FLEX Matrix?

The KanexPro FLEX Matrix is a modular 4K60 matrix switcher — a single chassis that routes any HDMI source to any display, at any scale, with built-in video wall, quad view multiview, per-output independent scaling, and CEC display management. Unlike fixed-port matrix switchers, the FLEX system grows with your install: start with the chassis you need today, add cards as you expand.

The system consists of two component types:

  • Chassis: The switching engine. Determines maximum I/O capacity (8×10 to 24×60). Installed once in a rack and populated with cards.
  • Cards: Modular I/O. Input cards add HDMI sources; output cards connect to displays via HDMI or CATx (up to 100m).

Quick Start

  1. Rack the chassis and install cards (see Installation Guide).
  2. Cable sources to input cards and displays to output cards.
  3. Power on the chassis and open the web GUI via the front panel IP address.
  4. Route inputs to outputs in the matrix view.
  5. Configure video wall zones, presets, and output resolution as needed.
