Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information KanexPro Inc. ("KanexPro", "we", "us") collects through kanexpro.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What this policy covers
This policy covers kanexpro.com only. This website is a product and information site: you can read about our products, search the catalogue, register a product for warranty and contact us. You cannot buy anything here.
Orders are placed on our stores, and each publishes its own privacy policy that governs the information you give it:
- store.kanexpro.com — the retail store.
- b2b.kanexpro.com — the trade store for dealers and integrators.
If you followed a link from one of those stores to read this page, the policy that applies to your order is the store's, not this one.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us
Our enquiry forms — sales, technical support, press and general contact — collect your name, email address and whatever you write in the message, and your telephone number and company if you give them. We use this to answer you. Enquiries are handled by our own systems and by the customer support platform we use to manage support cases.
When you register a product for warranty
If you register a product at kanexpro.com/warranty/register we collect the model number and serial number of the product, the date you bought it, the dealer, reseller or distributor you bought it from, your name and email address, and — if you choose to give them — your company name and telephone number. We also collect the receipt or invoice you upload as proof of purchase.
We use this for one purpose: to establish that a product is covered by the KanexPro Limited Warranty, and to handle any warranty claim you make. Registering does not sign you up to marketing, and we do not use registration details to market to you unless you separately ask us to.
A receipt or invoice often contains more than the product you are registering — prices, other items on the same order, sometimes an address. We use it only as evidence of the date and place of purchase, and we do not extract anything else from it.
Registrations are stored in Cloudflare D1 and uploaded receipts in Cloudflare R2, both operated by Cloudflare, Inc. on our behalf. Uploaded receipts are stored privately. They are not published, they are not reachable from any public web address, and they are available only to KanexPro staff handling warranty and support enquiries.
We keep a registration and its receipt for four years from the date of purchase you give us — the three-year warranty term plus one year, so that a claim made at the very end of cover can still be assessed — and then delete them. You can ask us to delete a registration sooner and we will, but we may then be unable to process a warranty claim for that product unless you can supply proof of purchase yourself.
When you search or ask a question
Site search and our product assistant send what you type to our servers so we can answer. Questions put to the product assistant are sent to Cloudflare's AI service to generate a reply. Do not put personal or confidential information into either — neither is a support channel, and there is no need to identify yourself to use them.
Automatically, when you visit
Like almost every website, we receive technical information when you load a page: your IP address, the pages you visit, the site you arrived from, and your browser and device type. Cloudflare, our content delivery and security provider, processes this to serve the site, block attacks and keep the service available.
Our warranty registration form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile checks the behaviour of your browser and does not build an advertising profile of you.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, which products are looked at, where visitors arrive from. This uses cookies and similar technologies, and Google processes that data as our service provider.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you using anything on this site.
We do not run advertising networks or behavioural advertising trackers on kanexpro.com.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
We share it only where there is a reason to:
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us — hosting and security (Cloudflare), analytics (Google), and the platform that handles support cases — and who may use it only to provide that service to us.
- Authorised dealers, resellers and service partners, where that is necessary to repair or replace your product under warranty.
- Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the rights and safety of KanexPro, our customers or the public.
- In a business transfer, if KanexPro or part of it is sold, merged or reorganised.
Where information is held
KanexPro is based in the United States and information collected through this site is processed there and in the other countries where our service providers operate. If you are outside the United States, using this site means your information is transferred to a country whose data protection laws may differ from your own.
How long we keep it
- Warranty registrations and receipts — four years from the stated date of purchase.
- Enquiries — for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of the support we have given.
- Technical and security logs — for a short period, as part of running and protecting the site.
We may keep information for longer where the law requires it, or where it is needed for an unresolved claim or dispute.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Uploaded receipts are held in private storage with no public address. Access to registration and enquiry data is limited to staff who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information in transit to us over the internet.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights.
To make a request, use our contact form, telephone us, or write to us at the address below. We will ask for enough information to be sure who you are before we act, which for a warranty registration usually means the serial number and the email address you registered with. You can use an authorised agent, and we may ask them to prove they are acting for you.
Children
This site is intended for professional and trade audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will try to put it right. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date at the top.
