Product Guide: SDVoE

Overview

SDVoE (Software Defined Video over Ethernet) delivers uncompressed 4K60 video over standard 10G Ethernet with zero latency. Unlike codec-based systems, SDVoE transmits the full uncompressed video signal, making it the correct choice for broadcast, control rooms, command centers, and any application where image fidelity and switching speed are non-negotiable.

Network Requirements

  • 10G managed switch required — all encoder and decoder ports must be 10G
  • Jumbo frames (MTU 9000) must be enabled on all AV ports
  • Flow control must be disabled
  • Dedicated VLAN recommended to isolate 10G SDVoE traffic
  • One 10G port per encoder and one per decoder — no port sharing
  • AVO-IPCTL-SDV — IP Controller for SDVoE (matrix routing, REST API, RS-232)

When to Choose SDVoE

  • Zero-latency switching is required (live events, broadcast, control rooms)
